“Stronger Families, Stronger Community, Stronger Relationships, & Stronger Self”
Dear Parents,
Oct 28th - Nov 1st is Red Ribbon Week! Drug prevention takes place in every domain of a child's life: community, school, family, and individual/peer. Prevention targeted through these domains connects youth to prosocial activities and builds age-appropriate skills that can be applied when faced with negative pressures and risks around drugs and alcohol.
At school, students will be participating in activities and discussions that highlight the importance of staying drug free. Each day we will focus on building a stronger sense of community, family, relationships, or self for the individual student, through activities and discussions. We invite you to reinforce these principles at home this week by discussing the themes and inviting your student to participate in dressing up and sharing what they're learning.
