The Salem Junior High School Community Council elections will be held the third week of August for two vacant parent member positions. Voting will be held by paper ballot located in the main office.

Any interested parent of a student attending our school this year or next year who wants to make a difference in our school can be nominated to serve on the School Community Council.

Those who serve will have input into the school improvement plan, the use of school land trust money, school building needs, and school-level policies directly affecting students. The council will meet once each month. The members will serve for two years.

The School Community Council meets monthly on the second Thursday at 3:00 in the Salem Jr High School Main Office Conference Room to discuss the school improvement plan, the use of School Trustland money, school building needs, and school level policies affecting students. Most members serve a two-year seat that can be filled upon reelection. The council is made up of administrators, teachers, and parents.
